Case
The project was mediated by the unique cooperation of 4 different technology providers (design, portal, CMS, infrastructure) commissioned by the customer.
The challenge was to combine a traditional CMS (Interwoven Teamsite) at the backend with a portal application (IBM Websphere) at the frontend. In this setup content administrators have all tools - such as workflow, WYSIWYG editing, etc - available to manage content. At the front-end all functionalities of a portal are in use to offer the ICS customers personalized applications. No compromises have been made, and as such ICS has a very powerful tool to work with to obtain their business objectives.
The responsibilities of Panoptic included creating a Proof of Concept of this unique setup, the implementation and the integration of the CMS. Panoptic safeguarded the generic aspect of the implementation. We delivered branching directives and implemented a branching trajectory for the client. With this, ICS can launch new websites in a short time, using the same architecture - but with a different design and different content.
